Hayle 4 - 1 St Agnes
Even with a slightly depleated defense Hayle went all out to attack St Agnes from the start but it was the away side who opened the scoring.
No heads went down and a great through ball put George Bodilly in for a nice lobb on the keeper 1-1 at half time.
After the break the lads really dug in with some fantastic performances from Liam Breakwell, Alex Pilling and Harry Gillman who kept them out all of the second half.
The second goal came from some great link up play orchestrated by man of the match Ian Hencher and finished by Euan Harris. Paddy Daniels scored his first for the team ,again after some really good link up play. Captain Kane Williams was awsome as he always is at the back and pushing forward. With 10 minutes to go Euan took on their defense and went through 3 players and just as he was about to pull the trigger Scott Date fired it into the back of the net.
Well done lads, let's look forward to next week.
Hayle 2 - 0 Falmouth Town
The lads started the game very positively, and after 20 minutes Kane Williams found himself in the box to finish a goal mouth scamble to make it 1-0.
Man of the match Geoge Bodilly hit the post, and a scorching shot from Ian Hencher hit the bar.
Just before the break George made it 2-0 with a goal from short range.
The game was secure after half time and some great perfomances from Russl Hales, Kane Williams and Dan Cree kept us in the game and a fantastic save from Kieron O'Hanlon made sure of the points.
Keep it going lads big game next week.
Hayle 1 - 1 Culdrose
With sickness and injury playing its part Hayle were a bit slow getting started.
once we got into the flow we were pretty much in control of the first half, however we struggled to finish or to create enough real chances.
It was 0-0 at half time and the lads came out in the second half to dominate the game.
man of the match Scott Date worked hard all game and put us ahead with a great individual goal, but we could'nt finished it off and a vastly improved Culdrose side pulled one back. It was an exciting last 15 minutes but Russel Hales led a very strong back 4 to hold them off. Despite being unwell Euan Harris ran brilliantly at the keeper in the last minute but the keeper was stong and did enough to put him off.
Hayle Storm 6 - 1 Truro Grasshoppers
Having beaten truro in the cup last week 7-2 with goals from Euan Harris-4 and George Bodilly-2 we thought the lads may be a bit complacent going into the league a week later. This was not the case, they got off to a flyer.
The first half stated well when a shot from George Bodilly was saved only for Euan Harris to score on the follow up. The next goal was a great individual goal from Scott Date. One more from Scott and a nice lobb from euan made it 4 before we allowed them to break to make it 4-1 at half time.
After a quiet 20 miniutes Euan was brought down in the area to win Hayle a penalty which was dispatched by George Bodilly. An all round solid performance was polished off with a lobb from George to make it 6-1.
Russel Hales was solid at the back as usual and man of the match Kane Williams was awsome again.
keep it going lads, big game next week.
Chacewater 2 - 2 Hayle Storm
Hayle went 2 -0 down in the first half and you could tell they had not played a game in 3 weeks. the pitch was very heavy and there was a strong head wind so the lads did well to keep it at 2-0.
After half time Hayle came out like a different side, Liam Brakewell was unstoppable on the left wing and Ewan Harris scored from one of Liam's many crosses. it was a battle after that against the ref and the conditions however Scott Date scored with only minutes to spare. at the end we could have won it but Ewan Harris was brought down by the keeper just as he was about to pull the trigger.
This was not a pretty game but a point will do our unbeaten run continues. Next game is away to Culdrose in the Cup on 15th November. (motm Kane Williams.)
Culdrose 1 - 10 Hayle
Hayle storm carried on their winning streak against Culdrose on a wet and windy afternoon at Culdrose. Goals from Dan Cree, Scott Date and George Bodilly put storm 3, 0 up at half time but it took some great keeping by Kieren O'Hanlon to keep us on top. the weather got worse after half time but two goals in two minutes from Ewan Harris opened the game up for us.
More goals came from Scott, Liam B and George and Ewan made sure with two more. 10-1 was a good result in very poor conditions. Man of the match Dan Cree and Kane Williams.
Well done lads lets look forward to the next game
Hayle Storm 5 - 1 Truro Grasshoppers
Hayle storm carried on their good start to the season with a 5-1 win over Truro grasshoppers away.
The first goal was the best with man of the match Leom Brakewell winning the ball deep in his own half with good link up play between Leon and George Bodilly before Scott Date finished well.
An own goal was followed by a good vollied goal by George Bodilly. Scott Date got his second from outside the box before Ian Henchers deflected shot went it to complete a deserved win.
The lads have started the season well and the new players have settled in well. Kane Williams and Ewan Harris have made a great impact and Kieren o' Hanlon is awsome in goal, we now look forward to the next game.
